I find this browser to be the fastest of all, I use this myself it has some very handy features like the quick tab.
3. Adobe Flash Player Installation
This is the guide I have made for installing Macromedia Flash player whilst running Windows Xp Pro.
Step 1.
Open any web browser you are using and type into the URL address bar the following "http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/" Without quotation marks of course.
Step 2.
If you are using Firefox or Opera just simply click the Yellow/Gold box ladled "Agree and install now" If you are using Internet Explorer you will have to click the small dropdown box which appears at the top of the browser asking if you want to download this. Either wait for the pop up box asking where to download etc, or if Firefox decides to "prevent this site" click allow.
Step 3
Wait for the pop up dialog box asking to save, click save. If you are using Firefox it will automatically place the download into you're "My Documents under Downloads" folder. Internet Explorer will give you the option of where to save to.
Step 4
Double click the "Install_flash_player" Icon, it will have a red folder symbol with a white F as seen in Image 4. If you receive the dialog box with the "Security Warning" just click Run. Once you have clicked "Run" if you receive another error or pop up about Firefox or another browser, you are required to close said browser do so to continue then click "Try again"
Step 5
Once you have clicked run the installation should only take about 5-30 seconds depending on you're computer specs, once you have completed the installation it will look like this.
Congratulation you have successfully installed Adobe Flash player.
4. Java Installation
In this guide i will be demonstrating how to install Java onto Windows XP.
Usually if you have followed my previous guide to installing Windows XP, you will already have Java, just encase it never installed or somehow you never got it, follow this guide. I had to uninstall Java on my Virtual machine running XP to do this guide.
Step 1
Open any browser you are using, and type in "http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp" Without quotation marks
Step 2
Click the big red button cantered on the screen labelled "Free Java Download" If you receive a error message saying that users of Firefox require at least version 6 etc, just click the download button again and await the save link.
Step 3
Save the link as before in the Flash installation guide if you read it. If you are using Firefox then it will automatically be placed into you're "My Documents folder under Downloads"
Step 4
Go to the place where the file was downloaded to, when you open the folder you need to locate the file labelled "Jxpiinstall" This should be a white square with a blue coloured cup and orange steam rising from the cup. Double click this.
Step 5
Once you double click the installation file, you will be prompted with a new dialog box with a security warning just click "Run" and then continue onto step 6.
Step 6
When the installation starts you will be asked to read the license agreement etc, just skip this and press install.
Step 7
When you press install another window will shortly follow asking about a toolbar installation uncheck this box unless you wish to install it, then click next
Step 8
You will see another box with a green bar rapidly flashing across it, this is the installation progress bar. once this has reached the end the installation is almost over.
Congratulations you have successfully completed you're installation of Java.
